Having trouble around the green? Here are some easy steps to getting to the hole in fewer strokes:
Chipping:
- Try nice and easy, smooth swings. If you are close to the green, you just need to pop the ball up while trying to get it close to the hole. If you are using a 60 degree wedge, put the ball in the back of your stance. Then angle your club face to where it is almost strait up and down with the ground. Take a smooth quarter swing to easily pitch the ball onto the green.
Putting:
- If you are having trouble controlling the speed and direction of your ball, you may be flicking your wrists. Keep your left wrist in line with the club(if you are right handed) and follow through the ball. Make smooth, easy putts.
- To line up the ball with the hole, use the line on top of the putter head. This line is used to guide the ball. Be sure to read the green.
